unfinished!!....

The rain pattered down in a murky haze....
puddles of water, rivulets forming a maze.....
The watery curtain, unrelenting and unshakable,
was torn apart as angry vehicles made their way....

People ran , looking for cover,
the wind smelled of mud, grass and  flower...
The whole world was blurred, dizzy and mired!
Looking out of the window,
trying to see what in the world had transpired!

The misty windows stood, white and quiet,
when chaos reigned on the other side....
Confusingly warm it was, inside the 4 walls,
hiding the chill and the frozen catcalls!

Time stood still as each drop made its way,
every trickle making patterns on the window pane....
The wind blew life into the world,
breathing freshness into everyone!

Endless life...

Far beyond the mountains ,
In a reality far away,
Hidden behind the mist of greed,
There lay the plain of life.....

Green and wide the plains stretched out….
With silvery clouds looking down the lonely path,
The wind blew mighty and violent….
The grass bent as waves of air flatter them,
Peace is omnipresent yet lost forever…..

Shadow falls,
Day turns to night…
The moon sneaks out ,
Silent and quiet….
The wind blows again,
Lashing at the grass….
The grass bows down,
Swallowing the fury it hath….

Night turns to day ,
Life goes on….
The mountains grow,
They grow tall….
The grass stretches on,
For miles and miles without a frown….
Only the wind batters down,
On and on …
On and on….

Blink and Gone!

The open skies.. The empty seas... The grassy plains.. The misty mountains....

The world is beautiful. Each time you turn around a corner, you see a scenario never seen before! Thats what makes the world interesting, unpredictability.

Einstein once famously declared ' GOD DOES NOT PLAY DICE WITH THE UNIVERSE!'. He was probably referring to  the idea that everything in the world has an explanation and that nothing is out of the normal. And he's right! Things do make sense. If something is confusing, eventually it will be explained with the passage of time.

But one slight flaw with our existence in this universe, is that we live for only a short period of time. If you look at it relatively, in terms of the universe, we probably dont even exist for even a pico second! To put it short, We dont have much time. Our existence is only momentary. We are like a frothy bubble on a wave which will eventually disappear.

We donot even have the time to look around our own planet , let alone the universe. But I wish there was some way we could break free of our earthly shackles and go on a tour of the universe. It would be awesome! Imagine going around from one galaxy to the other, maybe meeting a couple of extra terrestrials on the way! Or maybe go to the center of the universe and check out if there actually is a humoungous blackhole there! Or maybe a blackhole is actually a drain/portal to some other plane/realm or dimension! What if there were millions of alternate universes?! How would we be in them?

Haven't you ever wondered whats the reason of your existence? Are we here for a reason? Because , as Einstein says, nothing is left to chance. So whats the reason for us being here? Or are we just a flickering by-product of a cosmic reaction?

You see, we can never answer these questions because of one simple reason: We dont have much time!. We never saw the beginning of the universe. We will probably never see the end of it either! To put a long story short, we have no data to decide, simply because we dont have enough time to collect the data itself.

But despite the short time-frame we have, the world is beautiful - we are constantly surrounded by wonders and surprises. We are never bored!

I would certainly love to hear the story of the universe. To go across the universe , investigate its length and breadth! ( Universe might even be a sphere for all we know!). But who is there to recite the tale??

I wish I had Green Lantern's ring!!!! (sigh!)

Balmy nights!

Todays the winter solstice!
the shortest day of the year!

And the moon today in the night sky is soo beautiful!!!
its soo big and pearly white today, right amongst a million stars!
and the sky is such a bluish heaven today!!!!
its almost like some kid who's really good at art just picked up his paint brush and drew the masterpiece....

to top it all off, its chillin cold outside....
with foggy breath comin out of your mouth everytime u speak!
tis the season of sweaters and warm nature!
the time of the year when u look around to find the world a beautiful place.....

its really dark outside, without a soul in sight..
its like the whole world is at peace!
and the moon just lights up the place
the wind is blowing through the grass with a gentle drag,

seriously , its such a wonderful sight....
the moon, the stars, the wind and the skies!
owls hootin as they watch the fireflies!
lonely hearts lookin at the sky!
the soft moonlight making u wanna soar and fly!!!!
the stars, they twinkle! they blink , flash and whisper,
they dance around the moon, who just sits and stares...
while the ground beneath, looks at the sky forever there....
the wind!, it blows, its silent and gentle.....
the grass moves apart, they are dancin at thier own jingle!!!!

the moon still shines, ever on.....
he's lovin the world , and he's lovin it big time!

boredom!!!

boredom!!!!
exactly what i've been experiencing in the recent days, weeks or maybe even months!!!!
there always comes a time when u r soo frustrated with the monotony around u , that u feel like going away from it all and appease your eyes on a better sight!!
but more often than not, its not that easy... !!! (grumble !@$!@$@% grumble! )

to put it straight, i am absolutely bored. bored to an extent where even boredom has started to bore me....

i believe that for a person to be happy and be mentally fit, he/she should be exposed to new situations and scenarios. persisting in the same settings and details not only causes lapse in your concentration, but also dulls your thinking and diminishes your brains computing powers..

in general, your brain/mind/sub-conscious whatever needs a change of scenery now and then.. if u keep your brains racking over the same thing again and again , and if u give it a moments escape to something else, and when u return your attention back to wht u were working before, u can easily observe that the concentration has improved.. so for concentrating, u need distractions.. lots of them!! as wierd and totally out of sorts this may sound, its true.

i badly need a holiday!!

de ja vu....

Two months ago (approximately), me n my good friend vikram were sitting on the steps of DEVIKERE pond on top of chamundi hills. The dude was leaving the country in a couple of weeks, so we both were simply trying to simply sit, talk n exchange ideas, saying goodbyes n stuff etc etc. We both have a same wavelength of thinking, so i knew i was going to miss our wacky thoughts, discussions and conclusions about every freaking thing around ... ( he's presently goofing off in Florida right now!). And being the morons that we are, of all the things in the world, we ended up talking about time-line continuum and dejavus....
It was very windy that day, causing small surface waves on the top of the pond. it was fun seeing the algae on top move with the waves.. We both physics buffs couldn keep quiet, so we started taking small pebbles and throwing them into the waves to see how it would turn out, what we observed was this, the waves were as they were, but there were ripples forming too, on the waves. and these small ripples started spreading over the entire surface of the pond .. and where two ripples met, it was nice to see them cancelling out each other. Watching that scene got me started on talking about chaos theory, universe etc etc
Eventually, we started talking bout dejavus... (u know, that feeling that somehow u have been in the same situation before...) ( like meeting some random person for the first time and feeling that somehow u have already met that person in the past!). our thoughts then turned to time travel and we ended up discussing that in length a bit.... thats when i got an inkling of an idea that i am going to share with now..
This is a bit doozy, so keep your concentration. OK, here goes, i bet everyone in their life has had that strange feeling of a memory or an experience or a scenario of a present event feeling as if they have already been in that situation.. like going into the class on a random day to suddenly feel in your brain that u had done the exact same thing and seen the exact same scene n felt the exact same way sometime before. but, it is impossible for that to have happened before because whatever u r going through is happening now, and there is no chance of it happening in the past. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS CALLED IN COMMON LANGUAGE AS dejavu!- the feeling that you have had the same feeling before!
so how do u explain this?
this is what i've come up with.... how do u remember a memory? u remember it in a million different ways, but always, when u recall it, u get a glimpse of that memory, in and whatever extent you want. in other words, u are picking up that particular instance from a huge database of your past instances or experiences. so our brain  analogically opens up this huge file holder, flips through the different files, picks up the necessary one and displays it to our inner eye , or imagination or perception or whatever, and once we have used that file, puts it back and stores it away.
now, the conscious part of our brain has access to all these past events because, the conscious part has been through all those things. therefore it has access only to those things. thats why, only when you are perfectly awake, sane and not hight, u can remember and recall memories perfectly.
note that, at the same time, our sub-conscious part of the brain is always active. its the one which has direct access to the conscious part, but the transaction is not possible the other way around.
whenever we are sleeping, the sub-conscious part of our brain is active.
and this is my explanation of dejavus:
The human brain has access to all the memories of the past and the "memories" of the future. only thing is, that it has only access to the past because thats the only part the conscious brain remembers. however, the subconscious which is not under the control of the conscious brain, does have. sad part is that we can never voluntarily access these forbidden memories as they are under lock and key of the sub-conscious brain. this subconscious part of our brain has already seen and perceived these memories of the future. which is exactly why we sometimes get premonitions, good feelings and bad feelings about things which are yet to occur. the precise reason why you have dejavus. you feel that u hav been there before coz ur subconscious has already been there. and when your conscious part of the brain realizes that, u have a dejavu....
The human brain is a wonderful thing. its possibilities are limitless. the only problem is that everyone tries to run the thought process in thier own way. causing clashes between the free running subconscious and the in-control conscious and in this process, many of our wonderful extraordinary abilities are lost. why do u think ppl who do meditation, tapasya etc have such a clear perception and have such a right idea about the future? its coz thier brain is clear. there are no clashes b/w the conscious and the subconscious!
so, to let your brain work at its best and go beyond, let your conscious and subconscious work in tandem. which u can do by trusting yourself more and following your impulses!!!
 anyway, thats enough for today...
and vikram , dude, seriously wish you were here! anyway, enjoy in florida, do something insanely awesome and make us proud!!! hope to see you soon in a couple of years!
take care you all senior blokes who are away in all your jobs or masters or whatever :)

A deep blue reverie

So many times I sit and wonder,
what lies beyond the great blue yonder!
a perfect place with everything right?
everyone happy as the moon welcomes the night...
where oceans roll in a blissful sleep,
toying with emotions, hidden deep..

where the birds are blue and the grass is green,
the trees are tall with a lustry sheen!
water falls from a mile high creek,
melodies rolling when frogs try to speak..
the rocks are big and stony too,
I wish you could see what i want you to!

A gigantic moon rising out of the deep blue sea,
as I sit and watch you stare into me..
You speak to me without a sound,
what's this connection, so fleeting yet so profound?!
All I do is sit and think,
how in heaven my thoughts turn to ink!!

Am I dreaming or plain enthralled?
cast in a spell over years evolved!
An illusion that runs beyond imagination,
or are these my thoughts, in all their perfection?
dolls we are in this great story,
who's toying with us we cannot see!!!

Oh! what lies beyond the great blue yonder!
a million times you sit and wonder!
Of rolling hills and clouded skies,
birds soaring with their joyful cries!
Blue mountains with white crowns,
a land where there are no frowns!!

All of this I dearly want to see,
but I guess in reality, this is exactly whats inside of me..
One day I'l cross the great blue yonder,
move to the land beyond like lightning's thunder!
To the land where beauty speaks,
which my heart so dearly seeks!!!
